# That's true... But you don't need it!!! :-) You can put some lights in the
# scene with 0% intensity (so you can't see them and they don't affect the
# scene, locate them in the position you want and use the 'View from light
# (F5)' function. Like this you can have not 2, but as many 'virtual cameras'
# as you want.
Okay, then what do you do if you'd like to render the same scene from
a variety of camera angles? What do you do if, for whatever reason, you'd
like to have a mixture of perspective and isometric views?
The need for different cameras is there. I'd like to add that for every
camera there should be separate qualitative settings. In addition to
having multiple cameras for looking at your scene from various angles you
could have three or four different cameras all following the same move,
one with settings for low-res tests, one for medium res, one for final res
with all the oversampling, motion-blur and DOF goodies turned on. So you see,
it's not just something that will make the actual process of animating more
productive but it will also makes testing and the final render less monotonous
and error-prone (providing you do your set-up right).
